Trinity Blood 8

Gunlex: We learn a bit more about Noélle in this episode. Since she has a special ability, I wonder if Esther will have one too. I didn’t expect Noélle to have feelings for Abel. There’s no hint as to whether or not she survived the building collapse. Maybe they’ll kill her off to alleviate any rivalry and make room for Esther. During one scene they played a piano version of “Broken Wings”. I thought that was a pretty nice version of the song. We get to see Kämpfer as well. This mystery guy was able to evade Abel with ease. Things are most definately getting more interesting.

Loveless 11

Gunlex: This episode definately lives up to the name “Warless”. I thought it was just going to be some filler episode for a while. It would have been weird to put in a filler episode at this point in the series. The preview made me think there would be lots of Yuiko in this episode. We do get more Yuiko than usual, but I was expecting more. When Yuiko was asking Ritsuka to go to Yokohama together we could see her tail wagging happily. I thought that was a nice touch, really fits Yuiko’s character. This was a fun episode to watch. It has a filler-feel to it but there’s some important development in it as well. I guess it’s the calm before the storm.

Gunlex: Here come the wedding crashers. I stopped expecting much from this series after episode 10. I was hoping they would just focus on the main story, but instead they had to expand on the stupid side story. At least there was some development at the end of the episode. With only one episode to go I can only hope it will have a good ending.

Mahou Sensei Negima 25

Gunlex: One more episode to go. There’s quite a bit to take in from this episode. We get to see a bit of what Nagi Springfield is like and why he wasn’t around for Negi. The mystery behind Asuna’s death is revealed as well. We also see that Takahata is definately a user of magic. With Nagi gone we’ll just have to see if Negi can find a way to save Asuna. It seems like there’s still a lot of things to get through with only one episode left.

Gokujou Seitokai 12

Gunlex: The episode focuses on Kanade and Nanaho’s past. We learn a lot about the two. So it’s confirmed that Kanade has some special powers but doesn’t like to use it. I thought it was a good episode even without the usual humor mixed in. With all the training Nanaho has, I wonder why she uses a yo-yo for her primary weapon. Unless it’s something like Killua’s from HunterXHunter. There’s also a new mystery transfer student, Katsura Minamo, who shows up at the end of the episode. I didn’t expect this turn of events at all. I thought it would end on a cheerful note like how it usually does.

Naruto 140

Gunlex: I would have to say this was a good episode considering it’s part of the filler arc. At first I was wondering why Kabuto was so weak until we find out it isn’t Kabuto at all. Taking out the heart was unexpected and not very pleasant either. I didn’t realize it until this episode, but Sasame’s seiyuu is Kobayashi Sanae. This arc will probably last a while if they got her to do a filler character’s role.

Erementar Gerad 12

Gunlex: It looks like the story may actually get interesting now. Arc Aire might not be the paradise Cisqua believes it to be. It’ll be interesting to find out what Arc Aire’s real motive is. It looks like the “evil-looking” faction is making a move as well. I wish Cisqua was stronger than what we’ve seen from her up to now. So far she seems to be useless. For being Rowen’s senior I expected someone who wasn’t so weak.

Ichigo 100% 12 - Final

Gunlex: It seems like an odd place to end the TV series. In a way it’s a good thing that it ended. I was getting sick of seeing them desecrate the characters. This episode was an exception though. The characters in general were pretty consistent. I’d have to say Misuzu and Tsukasa were the only two characters who stayed consistent throughout the series. The brief animation shown during the ending song was nice. I’d say it’s the same quality as the first OVA. It was just too bad they couldn’t keep the same animation quality for the entire series.

My overall thoughts on this series: Don’t bother watching the anime, get the manga instead. It is far superior to the anime series. Watch the OVA if you must listen to the voices they chose for the characters. Even just watching the last episode would work too. Another thing about the series that was very disappointing are the BGM’s. The BGM’s didn’t fit the atmosphere and they sounded horrible. If they had kept the OVA’s quality throughout the series I would have enjoyed watching the series a lot more. I would have probably wanted to see more than just 12 episodes.

Bleach 37

Gunlex: I thought the fight between Chad and Kyouraku was longer and more intense. I guess I remembered incorrectly. The episode in itself isn’t bad. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I didn’t know what was coming already. A lot of the episode is taken up by scenes of Chad’s past and why he risks his life for Ichigo. There was one part where I thought Chad was running very awkwardly. I liked the ending though, since we got a bit more Nanao.

Sousei no Aquarion 12

Gunlex: I didn’t think there was going to be much going on in this episode with the slow start at the beginning. We do learn a bit more about Apollo and Silvia’s past lives. The story’s starting to make some more sense now. Amazingly, Silvia was not super annoying in this episode. There were actually some scenes where she didn’t look ugly. I kind of doubt they will keep that up, but it was nice while it lasted.
