Eureka 7 10

Gunlex: We get a couple of flashbacks in this episode. Unfortunately we don’t learn all that much from them since none of it is explained. But we got more Talho in this episode than most of the other ones so that was a nice treat. They showed a new crew member of the GekkoState. At least I don’t recall seeing this individual at all until this episode. It seems like something’s going on with Eureka as well, not being able to communicate with Nirvash and whatnot. At the very end of the episode we see Anemone, Nirvash type the End’s pilot. She has qualities that resemble Eureka. I wonder what their relationship is.

Victorian Romance Emma 12 - Final

Gunlex: The final episode of the series. Depending on how you view it, it can be either a good ending or a bad ending. After thinking it through, I think it was a very good ending. I can see how other people may think differently though. All of us wanted to see Emma and William together. In the end they just couldn’t overcome what society expects. The parting of ways was definately a moment to remember. William was thinking how their relationship would affect Emma the entire time, now I have a better opinion of him. The harp version of “Silhouette of a Breeze” they used in this episode was pretty nice. It fit the atmosphere of moment quite well.

I think the end can be viewed in two ways based on what the lily of the valley represents. One way I think it can be interpreted is as time goes on they will settle down and find happiness separately. The other interpretation is William will end up pursuing Emma. Although the latter doesn’t sound very fitting. It’s up to the viewer to decide what happens. Personally, I see the final scene as the last time they see each other. They each move on with their lives on separate paths. But by adding the lily of the valley in the end, we are reassured they will end up happy in their own way. I think this was a very suitable ending for the series.

My overall verdict of the series? Any fan of a good love story (albeit it’s not your conventional ending of a love story) should check it out. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing a series that isn’t all about blood, mechs, and big-breasted school girls.

Mahoraba 24

Gunlex: The last story of the series begins. This story can probably be finished in one more episode, but with 2 episodes to go they’ll probably just extend it. We find out what Haibara does for a living. I guess it’s not a big surprise he’s a writer. Megumi may end up leaving as well, but we’ll just have to wait and see. The mystery behind Kozue’s dissociative identity disorder and her bells are finally revealed. This episode and the last 2 episodes must be tough for Arai Satomi, having to do the work of 5 characters.

Tsubasa Chronicle 11

Gunlex: It’s off to a new world next week. I didn’t find the first few minutes to be all that fun to watch. As the episode went on it gradually got better. I particularly liked the scene where we see the specific memory Sakura retrieved. Syaoran is really gone from her memories. I thought watching that scene was really sad. Just goes to show how much Syaoran cares for Sakura. I’ve been wondering who the Mitteshu guys were. As it turns out they’re from Clamp School. The character animation seemed pretty nice in this episode. Overall I think this is one of the better episodes of the series so far.

Gundam SEED Destiny 35

Gunlex: This episode felt really short. I guess it was just that entertaining. First of all, we see that Kira didn’t sustain any major injuries. Meaning he’ll be ready to go beat some sense into Shinn sooner. Athrun began step one of his redeemtion program. The punch was long overdue. I just had to rewatch it a few times cause it was so enjoyable. We’re also shown briefly of what Lacus is up to. It looks like she’s mass producing Dom’s. Dullindal unveils Destiny Gundam and Legend Gundam to Athrun and Shinn. Maybe it’s just me, but Destiny Gundam looks like Calamity Gundam’s head put on top of Zeta Gundam’s body. At least it has those similarities to me. With the build-up of the offensive against Logos at full throttle, we finally get to see Athrun appear as if he’s having second thoughts. Shinn on the other hand is giggling like a school girl after being told he will be given a new mech. One of the best things about this episode is we see that Lunamaria has recovered completely.

Speed Grapher 11

Gunlex: Something was definately in the air. There’s sex and some more sex. Well, more like two scenes of sex and a rape scene. Poor Saiga, raped and helped Kagura just for her to be taken back. There was one scene I thought was kind of stupid. When Kagura was trying to escape again, she runs RIGHT into the thing that’s blocking the doorway. She doesn’t even hit it on the side of it as if she was trying to dodge it. She hits it smack in the middle like a blind rat. I wonder what Suitengu’s real motive for asking Shinsen to marry him. Oh, we’re also shown briefly a scene with psycho #4 aka Spiderman.

Trinity Blood 7

Gunlex: Interesting, a Peter Pan episode. They got some great guest seiyuu’s in this episode: Kugimiya Rie as Peter and Tamura Yukari as Wendy. We’re also introduced to a new AX member, Leon, as well. I think it’s kind of too bad they’re using so many one-shot characters when they all have nice character designs.

Loveless 10

Gunlex: This episode wraps up the conflict involving Kouya and Yamato. I thought they used some great BGM’s in this episode. One can only hope they’re included in the OST. We’re treated to some yuri goodness as well. I doubt we’ll see Kouya and Yamato anymore in the series, but I can’t help but wish things will work out for them. Gotta love the last scene with Kouya and Yamato. (*´д`*)

Ah! My Goddess 22

Gunlex: We now enter the second to last plot line of the series. At least I think this will be since I don’t see this story lasting more than two episodes. More Uld and less Skuld in this episode. That’s always a good sign. I must say I like Uld’s new look. And it looks like Belldandy is going to get serious and bust out the big guns to bring Uld back.

Futakoi Alternative 11

Gunlex: More randomness! So they explain the squid’s origin and whatnot. I’m all for some randomness thrown in for humor, but it feels like there’s too much randomness. They strayed too far away from the main plot of the series. Okay, with 2 episodes left they’re finally going to go after Sara, who is in another country. How are they going to do that you ask? By flying in a plane of course! Somehow they get a propeller plane and a launching mechanism out of nowhere. I just hope they cut back on all this randomness and end the series nicely.
