Due to this episode being centered around Ayano and Shimotakatani Takanori, the other characters had smaller roles than usual. We get our first and probably only look at Ayano’s family. It’s a bit unfortunate this episode is most likely the only chance we get to see Ayano’s sister. I thought she was awesome in this episode. We learn that Takanori has a fetish for glasses, which explains a lot. It solves the question of why he was so interested in Ayano when they first met. It was hilarious to see Akari figure out Takanori’s fetish. As one would expect, it turns out that Takanori has come to love Ayano for who she is and not for her glasses. For an episode that didn’t focus on the better characters of the series, I found myself enjoying this episode.
