Fate/stay night 4

The fight sequence in this episode is a bit longer than the previous ones. We get to see just how powerful Ilya’s servant is when he injures Saber. We’re told by Ilya herself that Beserker is none other than Hercules. I guess that just shows how much confidence she has in her servant’s abilities. Shirou “dies” once again but is saved thanks to Saber’s ability. I hope this isn’t going to be a trend where Shirou starts dying left and right. Rin reveals more information on the servants which just adds a bit more depths to the story. Even though we did get more scenes with Saber in it than previous episodes, her scenes were still pretty limited.

The beginning of this episode continues where we last left off with Saber fighting against Lancer. Once again the fight sequence was quite short. For now I think that isn’t a bad idea considering we don’t know all that much just yet. The situation becomes clear in this episode. The latter half of this episode was pretty much spent on having the rules of the war explained to Shirou. After learning that the fire from 10 years ago was a result of the previous war, Shirou decides to participate in the war. Now that we know what’s going on, we’ll be able to enjoy future episodes without having to wonder what is happening. I’m hoping for way more scenes with Saber in it from this point on.

Fate/stay night 2

Things are starting to make more sense now. We find out about this war we heard about in the first episode. So it looks like there are 7 servants in all. At the end of the episode we get to see Saber, voiced by none other than Kawasumi Ayako. That leaves 4 more servants we have yet to meet (the first three being Archer, Lancer, and Saber). This was only the second episode, but I’m already thoroughly enjoying this series. The nice character designs definately help in making this series that much more enjoyable. We barely get to see the fight between Archer and Lancer, but I think from what has been shown thus far the action for the series is good.

This is easily one of the most anticipated series of this new season. I’m glad to say it doesn’t disappoint. Right now we don’t really know what’s going on yet, but I’m already pretty intrigued at what’s to come. We get a taste of what the action in this series will be like. It looks like it will be pretty fast-paced. This series definately has a lot of potential. I think the art for this series is pretty high quality. Besides the nice art, this series has a strong seiyuu cast to back the series up. I personally like the opening and ending songs as well. Out of the 6 series I’ve watched from the new season so far, “Fate/stay night” is the best so far.
