Victorian Romance Emma 12 - Final

Gunlex: The final episode of the series. Depending on how you view it, it can be either a good ending or a bad ending. After thinking it through, I think it was a very good ending. I can see how other people may think differently though. All of us wanted to see Emma and William together. In the end they just couldn’t overcome what society expects. The parting of ways was definately a moment to remember. William was thinking how their relationship would affect Emma the entire time, now I have a better opinion of him. The harp version of “Silhouette of a Breeze” they used in this episode was pretty nice. It fit the atmosphere of moment quite well.
I think the end can be viewed in two ways based on what the lily of the valley represents. One way I think it can be interpreted is as time goes on they will settle down and find happiness separately. The other interpretation is William will end up pursuing Emma. Although the latter doesn’t sound very fitting. It’s up to the viewer to decide what happens. Personally, I see the final scene as the last time they see each other. They each move on with their lives on separate paths. But by adding the lily of the valley in the end, we are reassured they will end up happy in their own way. I think this was a very suitable ending for the series.
My overall verdict of the series? Any fan of a good love story (albeit it’s not your conventional ending of a love story) should check it out. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing a series that isn’t all about blood, mechs, and big-breasted school girls.
